Spend time in Seattle before embarking o­n a Norwegian Cruise Lines cruise aboard the Norwegian Pearl to Alaskan waters. Cruise through the forest clad shores of the Inside Passage and thread your way past Alaska’s breath-taking coastal scenery before entering the spectacular Glacier Bay. Spot whales, porpoises, bears, moose and eagles and visit remote coastal settlements as well as stately Victoria o­n Vancouver Island before flying to iconic New York.


Day 1 – UK – Seattle

Your holiday start with a flight with United Airlines from Heathrow to Seattle. o­n arrival transfer independently to your downtown hotel. Christened “The Emerald City”, Seattle is known as o­ne of the most liveable cities in the world and receives less annual rainfall than New York and Atlanta. Surrounded by lakes, rivers, Puget Sound, and mountains, Seattle is a recreation enthusiasts’ dream.

Day 2 – Seattle and cruise departure

Further time this morning to continue to explore Seattle. During the afternoon transfer, independently, to the pier in time for the 4 pm cruise departure.

Day 3 – Cruise the Inside Passage

The calm, protected waters along this 1,000 mile Alaskan ‘marine highway’ are filled with sea lions, sea otters and migrating whales. o­n beaches and in coves o­n shore moose, deer and bears forage for food and in the sky eagles soar.

Day 4 – Juneau

Visit Juneau during the afternoon. Accessible o­nly by water and air, wildlife thrives in this stunning frontier landscape. Arrive 1400 Depart 2200.

Day 5 – Skagway

Skagway’s development started in 1896, when gold was discovered in a tributary of the Klondike River and tiny Skagway quickly grew to 20,000 residents. By 1900, the White Pass and Yukon Route railway began carrying the more fortunate gold seekers over the mountain pass. The real gold, some say, never left Skagway. It’s still there in the matchless golden sunrises and sunsets. Arrive 0700 Depart 2015.

Day 6 – Cruise Glacier Bay

One of Alaska’s most dramatic sights. Before you, thousand-year-old glacial cliffs in shades of white, blue, grey and green rise straight from the sea. Ice slabs, the size of a house, frequently break off and “calve” into the sea in a spectacle of thunder and flying spray.

Day 7 – Ketchikan

Ketchikan’s 19th-century commercial fishing, canning and logging industries drew hearty workers who added a raucous side to the city’s history. The infamous restored “red light” district with its bordello-turned-museum is a present-day testament to that era. Arrive 0600 Depart.1330

Day 8 – Victoria

An evening visit to the capital city of British Columbia. Victoria is situated o­n the southern tip of Vancouver Island and is world-renowned for its charming ambience. Sometimes referred to as the “garden city” Victoria has a bustling harbour and numerous heritage buildings. Arrive 1800 Depart 2400.

Day 9 – Arrive Seattle

Your cruise ends today when you return to Seattle. Arrival is at about 8 am and disembarkation is during the morning after a leisurely breakfast. Transfer, independently, to your overnight hotel.

Overnight (1): Seattle – Roosevelt Hotel

Day 10 – Seattle to New York

Transfer independently to the airport for your flight to New York. O­n arrival transfer independently to your downtown hotel.

Overnights (3): New York – Holiday Inn 57th Midtown.

Day 11 & 12 – New York

After a filling New York breakfast, The Big Apple greets you with the excitement of Broadway and fabulous shopping o­n Fifth Avenue. Take a cruise to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, enjoy a Broadway play and view the city from the top of the Empire State Building. Tour the USS Intrepid to visit the Concorde and o­ne of Nasa’s retired Space Shuttles. Take a walk through central park, scenes of many of the great movies.

Day 13 – New York – UK

Time for some last-minute souvenir hunting or spend some quiet time in o­ne of New York’s Museums. Transfer independently to the airport for your overnight flight to the UK.
